The Best Day

So Today was the big 2-0 Birthday.
It was the best birthday I ever had.
My family called and sang me Happy Birthday.
It was awesome. Then I talked to all of my siblings-whom I miss dearly.
Then my mom got on the phone. She asked what my plans were
and when I got done with class. Of course I asked her why she was asking me this.
She then asked," Can Dad and I take you to lunch"
Ok...I started crying...seriously I started crying. Tears of joys okay.
On Tuesday I was just having a hard time with everything
and I just wanted to go home for my birthday.
I wanted to be with my parents and siblings.
Them coming to Rexburg on my Birthday was an answered prayer!
Of course I had to go to class and make sure my clean check stuff was done.
But I got to spend the day with my parents!
They gave me the camera I wanted and my mom hung up a Happy Birthday sign in  my room.
They took me to Costa Vida, since Rexburg doesn't have Cafe Rio.
Trust me Cafe Rio is so much better!
My mom made me a cake. I got to sit and just chill with my parents.
Pretty perfect way to spend a Birthday.
I was so sad that they had to leave.
I got back to homework and regular life.
I had cake and ice cream with roommates and a friend later.
I ended the day with watching the Ringer.
It was the best day.
I definitely felt loved by all my friends.

Nothing Special About Today

On November 9th, 1991. At 4:45 AM. 

Troy and Becky Woodhouse welcomed their first child to the world. 

It was a healthy baby girl. 

I think I was a beautiful baby... HA!

Look what happened to me. Not so cute anymore. 

In the short 20 years of my life I have had many ups and downs. 

I've learned:

I was born into an amazing family-so glad I choose them

I am very injury prone

I am an artist
I have a voice

Life manages to work out

I'm always searching for a deeper meaning

I've been given a great responsibility of being the oldest

I do have people that love me for me

Everything around me in one way or another is art

I can be friends with complete strangers

People come into your life so you learn from them-good or bad

I'm stronger than I think

Broken hearts mend good as new

Its not about your scares its all about your heart

I'm better at being friends with boys than actually dating them

Modern medicine is a gift from my Heavenly Father

I live a blessed life

College has allowed me to blossom

Christ is my Redeemer; He lives and loves me.

I know my Heavenly Father Loves me

Wish I never grew up...

I  remember those days when I just couldn't wait to be in graduated from high school, be on my own.

I remember when I couldn't wait to get into high school.

Then there were those times when I couldn't wait to get into Jr. High, 6th grade. 

Psh...somedays I wish  I could go back to that. 

Life was so much easier. 

Mom and Dad take care of you. 

You don't have to pay for things you need. Its been provided.

I really wish I could go back to when I thought boys had cooties. 

Oh wait that never happened. My parents had to pay me to not kiss boys.
Everyone believes in you.
When you get scared you can run into your parents arms.
Your family is willing to forgive you. 

Somedays I wish things were simple like that. 

No one can break your heart. 

Its just easier to be little.

Don't get me wrong I am so glad that I am a single adult women.

I get to go to school to learn something I love. 

I get to meet new people. 

I get to become the person I want to. 

Its just the con side of it all that I hate. 

Paying for things, doing everything yourself, the moments when you feel so alone.
You and your roommates may rub the wrong way.  

Those times when you just hate yourself and your mom isn't there to tell
you how wonderful you are.
The real world is a tough crowd.

Yeah I miss then.

It snowed!

It snowed last night! 

It was a beautiful sight. 

I really wish I had my camera then. (Wednesday :)

Big fluffy, white flakes of snow that you can catch in your mouth. 

Oh it looked and felt magical.

{Who doesn't love this Man!!}

The only problem is, its super, SUPER cold in Rexburg now. 

I actually broke down on what I have said and I'm listening to my Christmas music.

I hope this makes you happy Sharla. But I'm sure you'll call me the Grinch still. 

I couldn't help but play some today because of the snow. 

Another exciting thing is Daylight Savings ends in the wee hours of Sunday! 

YAY!

How I loathe daylight savings with a fiery passion. It needs a good beating.

My sleep patterns are thrown off by it every year. I'm glad to get what feel likes an extra hour of sleep!
