Whats in a name?

I use to hate my name. 

It was so different than everybody else's name, I would give myself "other" names.

Then I embraced my name. 

I was the only Chloe in High School. 

I got into college most people really hadn't heard that name before.

I got told how cute my name was or what a hot name that was. 

I embraced it because its unique and it connected me to my love of French.

If you want to get all technical the E in Chloe should have two dots above it. 

And I got some awesome nicknames that made me love my name more, some not so much.

Favorites: Chlojo{cousin came up with it and stuck with my dad and brother},

 Chlo{it just comes naturally}, Chloester {my bff from high school came up with this one}. 

Not so great: Chelo{my hometeacher said that, i hated him, and then I became best friends with him}

C-Lo { It reminds of a big fat guy, and the only reason I was okay with it at

 first was because the guy I liked came up with it}

So I'm proud of my name. There is a lot more I could go on about my name.

But you really don't want to read all of my ramblings

Dear Boys part {25}

Its been a while since I wrote one of these. I really don't have my usual encounter of 3000 boys a day like I do at school. I've been wanting to write one but there hasn't been anything exciting or hilarious things with the male species. So I thought I would write a personal one.

Dear Boy,
We may know each other. We may not. But know no matter what that I have faith in you.
I know you are making good choices and are preparing the right way. I know you are
making sure you are staying worthy.  I know you are a worthy priesthood holder with
a continually growing testimony. I have faith things will fall in to place when the time is right.
I know I can think about you and the future to much but I can't help it. I think about
everything way to much.  And to tell you the truth, I'm glad we haven't made it to that
relationship or met yet because I've grown in ways that I couldn't have. I'm not so naive
about the world and I've come to love myself more. I have learned to be happy being
single. I have learned that only you can be happy. You can't expect another person to make
you a happier person.I've learned to be true to by myself and not be fake and something
I am not. I know this may sound weird but I do love you. And I know that you love me
too. We just don't know it yet. I'm learning what paitence means and how important timing
is.

Boarder

Last Friday, I went snowboarding for the first time in 2 years.

It was glorious and it was great to have a break. 

The old man running the lift was creeping on me.

And can I say, if a jerk checks me out I am not flattered at all. 

And dupstep is actually perfect for snowboarding.

The only downside was crappy snow. 

Nice sticky, wet snow. 

You would go over it and you would slow down for no reason.

I only got one picture and that was when we left. 

And another thing...getting a concussion is not fun! 

Typography

I have great news. After waiting for about 2 days, which felt like 

forever,  a seat opened in my dream class. 

Typography!

I've been wanting to get into this class ASAP

 after my completion of Intro to Graphic Design. 

I am ecstatic! 

I'm glad to say its going to help getting my blog more together.

With this class I am able to spread good typography and 

learn about all the typographic mistakes I have made since I 

could type a document on the computer.

Yeah, about Comic Sans, I was never a fan after 

my fifth grade teacher used it for all of our assignments.

Yeah sorry comic sans. You do not make the cut. 

Sometimes

Sometimes trips get cancelled and you don't know what to do with your life.

Your work schedule was changed for that one trip and 

you are left with just sitting around all day. 

Well me being a girl that just doesn't sit around most days, I decided 

I would go do some snowboarding today with my brother and father(who are both skiing mind you). 

I haven't gone in two years, so it should be quite fun today. 

So I got some new dup-step songs on my iPod so I should be able to rock on the mountain today.

Sooner or Later

I've been thinking about the future a lot lately. 

New semester coming up, new adventures to happen. 

Reaching my halfway mark in my college experience. 

2 more years of many hours spent on art projects and taking tests. 

Doesn't seem to long. 

Things will happen. My life will continue to shape and mold. It won't slow down.

People will come and go in my life. And the true friends will stay. 

There is one quote that I love when I think about the future,

"Be of good cheer. Your future is as bright as thy faith."

I've learned to trust my Heavenly Father more and more with His plan for me. 

He knows best. I may not like what happens in the moment. 

I do know that it will get better because I have faith in my Heavenly Father.

If I hadn't trusted His plan for me, I wouldn't be the happier girl I am today. 

If I hadn't listened to His prompting to go to BYU-I, 

I'm sure my health would have been a lot worse and I wouldn't have the testimony I 

do today. I truly believe I would be miserable right now if I hadn't followed his promptings. 

It may have taken awhile to be has happy as I am but everything doesn't come easy. 

Sooner or later we will be blessed for our actions in following Heavenly Father and the Savior. 

Things will always work out because Heavenly Father loves us.

It may not be now but it will be in the future. 

"Trust in the Lord with all thine Heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding"

Don't give up. You'll get there. Be happy with where you are and where you are headed.  

Dear Daylight Savings,
Stop stealing my sleeping time! Sure you may have seemed like a stroke of genius when Mr. Franklin came up with you.  Last time I checked the day is not longer just because you moved the time. Yeah their is more light but we really don't need to adjust our time just so there is more sunlight in our day. Its today that makes me wish that the rest of us were like Arizona who didn't worry about this junk.  Yes, Daylight Savings, it is personal. I wouldn't mind the idea of you dying so I didn't have to struggle with feeling tired during the 8 or 9 months of you. Sorry Daylight Savings your not as bright as you were meant to be!

I took the Developing World class at BYU-Idaho and it has changed me. 

It has shown me the problems in the world and has shown me we can be the change. 

I've heard of the Invisible Children before but I didn't really listen. 

Lets help the children in Uganda!
Let's save lives.
Let's make Kony famous and stop his crimes.

Good Things

Hi all. It has been a while. 

But there really isn't anything exciting about being a waitress everyday. 

There are exciting stories but I don't like sharing. 

So on to the good things that make me happy and remind me of how blessed I am. 

When my Bishop asks me if I'm pretty and good. 

Participating in Idaho's first caucus. 

And teaching all the old folks about the iPad and the Kindle Fire.  

They were quite intrigued by my fruit ninja skills. 

Being able to help my mom better than I did when I was younger. 

Watching the CES fireside. Elder Cook is pretty great. 

His talk made me feel good that I deleted my facebook for a while. 

Working with Miss Emily B. We have such good and hilarious times.  

Texting. Its keeping me connected with close friends. 

Missionaries. I have so many friends on Missions! They make me proud. 

Just being happy with life and my situation. 

Going to California for a wedding! Yes, yes, yes!

I'm super excited to have a mini vacay with friends.  

I've been blasting this song a lot.

Everyday may not be good but there is something good in
