Just a little Road Trip

So Linds asked if I wanted to head to Salt Lake on Wednesday!
I of course said yes and suggested we stayed at my Grandma's house in Providence, Utah.
That way we didn't have to leave super, super early!
I wanted to sleep in a little.
The trip down was pretty exciting.
We went through Preston and of course as soon as Lindsey heard me say
"There's the Cuttin' Curral"
we had to stop and take pictures by this Napoleon Dynamite site.

We picked up a friend at the SLC airport.
And we made a quick stop in Temple Square for a quick visit.
I'm excited to be going again with the family in three weeks.
At night time. Of course.  Plus seeing all of my family too.

Then after dropping our friend off in Provo (at the MTC)
and then back to SLC again for a little Gateway shopping.
Here are some of my favorite shots from SLC:

{Yeah I knew gas cost an arm and leg but really?}   {Urban Outfitters you make me giggle in my pants}

 {Yes...Thank you Urban Outfitters for making me smile!
A little Percy impersanation}

 {Tucanos--Meat! Meat! in my belly! And I've decided I love listening to Brazilian Music}

 {Love this girl so much! I'm going to be so sad when I leave Rexburg!}

Warm, Fuzzy Feeling

I made this today
{I'm really going to miss having illustrator when ever I need it.
Someday I'll have it on my very own iMac...someday is quite a ways away.}
I'm glad I found this quote today because it gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
I needed to have that feeling.
I needed to be reminded of my worth and how much Heavenly Father has
blessed  and all the many talents he has given me.
I need to silence that negative critic in my head.
Remember I get to choose to be happy.  {Thanks for the reminder Miss Elise!}
Mistakes made in the past don't define me or things that happened to me.
The future should be welcomed with a smile.
And show love to the person I am and what I can do.
Time to trust my abilities.

In Search of the Perfect Christmas Tree

Today my family and I went searching for the perfect Christmas Tree.
Its one of my favorite things to do.
I told my mom I'm going to drag my little munchkins someday to get a Christmas Tree with them.
Whenever that happens.
This is our fourth year of going to mountains and cutting down our own tree.
I missed the first year for some lame excuse
{"I don't want to get hurt for Basketball" I seriously can't believe I said that}
This year Aubrie didn't come which was sad because she just makes everybody laugh the whole time.
It was a first for some new things. We actually took our time instead of rushing through.

Ride up was normal. Just the nice view of all the trees and snow.
I just wanted to go snowboarding right then. Just headed up all the way to Pomerelle.

We most certainly looked like a family out of the Martha Stewart Magazine.
We brought a picnic.
Homemade Turkey noodle soup and rolls. Hot Chocolate and homemade marshmallows
Yup we are that legit.

This was the longest hike we have had in searching for a Christmas tree.
we made an entire loop. I wouldn't be surprised if we had walked a mile until we found our tree.
Good for burning those calories I ate on Thursday.
I'm sad I'll miss the decorating but what can I do.
Need to finish up three more weeks of school. Then I'll have my off-track break.

What are your Christmas tree Traditions?

Who's Idea Was This Idea

I would like to know who created this madness of Black Friday.
I would say its getting Holiday Status...if you know what I mean.
At Target my mom heard a story about a lady who pepper  sprayed
the whole entire crowd just so she could be first in line.
Hasn't she heard getting there super early so she can be in the front.
CA-RAZY!
I skip all of that madness. Thank you!
Its called internet and being sane!
I'll wait until most of the crowd have left.

But here are some things I found today in Twin Falls.

 {Thought it was neat but I didn't get it}

 {Now this is the perfume I have wanted for a long time.
I think the name suits me. Yay for TJMaxx }

{I am going to make my own. When I find the spare time in the next 3 weeks!}

Got some lovelies crossed of for Christmas Shopping for the family and friends.
So it was a good shopping day with just the girls!
Tomorrow is Christmas Tree day! Super Stoked for that!

How was your Black Friday?

Turkey Day!

Did you have a good Thanksgiving?
Mine was spectacular.
It was the first Thanksgiving with just the 6 of us and it was bliss.
My Mother is fabulous cook and she's teaching us her ways.
Trust me she has a divine talent when it comes to cooking!
I got to prepare the stuffing. Best Stuffing in the world!!! Its my favorite most definitely.
Our feast was completely diary-free{Yay for my mama!} and it was delicious.

Then after taking care of all the the dirty dishes...it was time for the first annual
Woodhouse Turkey Bowl.
Yup my whole family played with the good ol' pigskin!
Teams were split up Mom, Dad, Carter vs. Aubrie, Lauren, and Me.
I think you can see who won

Pie quickly followed and some naps. Then we finished the day with
some James Bond and my personal favorite The Grinch {with Jim Carey}
Lots of quoting  mind you!

"If you so much as utter one syllable I'll hunt you down and gut you like a fish!!
If you'd like to fax me press the star key!"

Pretty Much the Best

Hansel and Gretel

So coming home this weekend wasn't just for my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.
I of course came to see the performance of Hansel and Gretel by the Ballet Conservatory.
Lauren was the mother. Not that evil step-mother you've all read about. Psh.
She got mad that the children spilled the cream and sent them out of the house.
Typical for any mother on a budget.
Geez I sure hope she didn't leave the church over some cream.
Lauren was also an angel.
Before the performance Aubrie and I had a little fun with the camera.

And yes you missed out on the commentary of Hansel and Gretel.
My sister and I are hilarious!

This is the third time I've watched Hansel and Gretel. And I love watching it
each year! I can't believe how amazing of a dancer my sister is becoming!
She's definitely headed to becoming a Prima Ballerina!
I promise better pictures in the future.
Still getting a hang of this new camera.

Listen, Read, Think, Do, Repeat

I've been listening to this all the time on my iPod.
It makes me feel good.
It reminds me of the things I should always consider everyday.

I've also been reading this a article a lot. I have a book of it thanks to Josi.
Its my favorite.

I've been thinking about what was said at our Stake Conference.
At first I was annoyed...the whole marriage talk thing. {when have I not been}
But after thinking about it for a while I realized it is a good thing they talk about it.
Its something I should be preparing for and have a better attitude about it.
I shouldn't turn on my self and say I'm not worth it because in God's Eye
I'm worth a lot. He loves me and wants the best for me.
He'll have me meet the boy of my dreams when the time is right.
I can't give up on myself when I know I have Heavenly Father and Christ backing me up.
I'm working on not being such cynic about love and boys. I should be more positive.
I should prepare and not worry about what some people think.
A friend of mine said this ," It will be all okay in the end. If its not okay, its not the end."

So I'm going to listen to what my Stake Presidency and Elder Busche have to say.
I'm going to read the words of Living Prophets.
I'm going to think about what Heavenly Father wants for me.
I'm going to do what all of those men and my Heavenly Father Want me to do.
And then I'm going to repeat.

Tuesday's {Thoughts}

They're back! I'm starting to wonder why I even stopped doing this post.

I'm super grateful that I can call my mom everyday.
Trust me I have a lot of complaining to do.

Adobe Illustrator is my favorite! I sometimes forget the time and I'm on it for 5 hours!

Running in the cold is perfect for me. It numbs the knee pain.
Plus its perfect for blowing steam.
I love receiving glares from the girls coming out of the gym when I'm running by.

I miss my dog :( She's the best cuddle buddy!

Getting a Christmas Tree in more than a week! Super excited!

Have you seen the Hunger Games Trailer! I'm so excited for it!

My teacher liked my logo!

Lindsey is the best-est roommate ever!!

I get to go home this weekend and then next Tuesday!
Definitely need a break from the marriage talk and the rudeness.

I have amazing friends! I love all of them! They make me a better person!

I'm starting to think that I live in the Spori Building.

This blog is a form of expressing myself and owning up to how I feel.
I'm never going to sugar coat life or what happens to me because that's not real.
If you know me you know I'll be blunt. You know I'll complain.
You know I'll have my moments where I'm sad, frustrated, angry, happy, or overly excited.
I'm just keeping it real!

“Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don't matter,
 and those who matter don't mind.”
-Dr. Suess

Best Quote ever.

Moments that Matter Most

You know those moments when you feel so good and
you can't figure out why you were sad before.
Its probably because you forgot for just a moment how good life really is.

We watched this video in New Testament.
I've watched it before and it just made an impression this time around.
I love Mormon Messages and the feeling of doing good that comes from them.
And I love President Uchtdorf''s talks.
They make me smile!

There are times when we have a choice to be quick to anger or to let it go.
I learned as I have gotten older attitude is everything.
I've learned to laugh at the situation when everything is going wrong.
Which is a big deal for me because when I was younger I would just get mad
and angry at a situation.
 In the moments that matter most is where we can see how to be happy.
It is those moments that we are reminded we need to slow down and
remember how blessed we are.
Just stop, remember, and go with a brighter attitude on life!

One of the Coolest Guys I Know

Its a good thing I stayed at La Jolla this semester.
Because I couldn't have met this guy!

{Fantastic Mr. Fox- A.K.A Mister Kevin Fox}

Sorry ladies he's already taken and leaving for a mission soon.
Sorry to break all your hearts.
Kevin has a fetish for mustaches and is pretty hilarious!
When I met this kid that would just walk up to people and tell them just a random joke,
I thought This is going to be a fun semester!
Never a dull moment with Kevin around!
Seriously the life of the party.
Don't know what this semester could have been like with out him!
Yeah I know, you all are wishing you could meet this guy.
He's definitely my favorite in  LJ 101 because he's always checking on Linds and Me.
I love having this guy as friend!
He's going to be a super awesome missionary!
Mexico is very lucky to have him for two years!

Better

Today was better.
Life has been a little rough this week.
I'm burn out from midterms...and of course my teachers have
decided to pile things on again before thanksgiving.
But I did have my birthday and I got to spend it with my awesome friends
and my O-mazing parents.
But not such a fan of my feelings getting hurt.

I got to go to the Temple with Linds and Sam!
Went in at 11 AM no snow...came out  at 2PM with 3 inches of snow.
YAY! Snow! I didn't think I was ready for it.
I am so grateful I got to go to the temple today.
It was good to have that feeling about going home.
Good to know my Heavenly Father loves me.
Good to get some answers and to feel at peace.
The Temple is such a wonderful thing.

I got to do my service project with my group from Health and Wellness.
Who new that giving cookies to strangers was so much fun!
Sure brought a smile to my face.
Then Stake Conference-Adult session.
Got to hear about marriage for an hour. My favorite...

So today was better and I'm feeling better about things.
Life is good-sometimes I need to be reminded.

Only the Cool People Came

So tonight I went to dinner with my friends to celebrate my 20th birthday.
I'm still getting used to the idea that I'm actually 20 years old.
But before dinner Linds and I went to the mall.
We ran into Joey and John(my old FHE brothers).
Took them into Hollister because Joey has never been in there.
After that we went our separate ways, planning on meeting up at dinner.
Of course American Eagle was a must.
We had a stack of clothes that we tried on and it was a lot of fun trying on matching clothes
I took a gander at trying on size 6s and guess what!
I actually fit in them! I couldn't believe it!
I'm so grateful that my thyroid medication is working and I'm getting healthy and skinny again.
I ended up with a $9 dollar dress from AE that was long enough to be modest.
Of course Linds and I were late, but that really didn't matter because we had sit in wait.
It was a lot fun just being with all my friends.
Of course I invited a ton of people but not all came
which was okay because only cool people were allowed.

 {I really don't know what Joey is doing}

 {Shane, Lindsey, Me, Joey, John, and Tom}

 {Shane, Linds, and I}

 {Oh Linds!}

 {Lindsay said,"We're two peas in a pod!"}

 {Love these two-always having fun!}

{Shane just wanted is burger}

 {Sugar packet eating contest-by all means go ahead}

 {National Kissing Day anyone? anyone?}

 {YUUUUMMMM}

 {I didn't realize I invited a stalker and a silly}

{How I love my Alba-she is the greatest!}

Dear Boys part dix-sept

Dear Boys,
Some of you have been making me
feel rather confused. Thanks,
Thanks a lot!
-Chloe

Dear Fantastic Mr. Fox,
Thanks for always being there!
Can always count on you!
You are definitely the coolest
in 101.
Love,
C-Lo

Dear Green,
Glad we have finally had
a chance to talk! Thanks for
listening to me complain
about life.
-normal clothes

Dear  Guy in MC,
Thanks for the double take.
It made me feel good!

-Green eyes

P.S.

Here's something I'm starting on. I'm using Illustrator to get the final product. I'm super excited about it and I'm making it into a poster!
